Fan filter unit(FFU) is a motorized air filtering equipment, used to supply HEPA purified air to cleanrooms, laboratories, cleanroom equipment, medical facilities or microenvironments by removing harmful airborne particles from recirculating air to meet the requirement of the cleanliness in industries or workshop.

The units are usually installed within the systems' celling or floor grid. And the numbers of FFUs depended on the requirement of industry under GMP specifications.
